IMPROVING THE IMMUNITY OF YOUR CHILD

Children are prone to a lot of diseases when they are born. They may catch a cold very easily. It’s hard to put many restrictions on them as they spend most of their time running around and breaking rules. They will open their warm clothes and play with cold water. Although you cannot control them, you can protect them by boosting their immunity. There is some specific food that contains vitamins for improving the immune system. Special products such as ayurvedic medicine for child immunity help to fight against certain bacteria by preparing your child’s immune system.

Ways to Boost your child’s immunity: Maintaining proper hygiene and a healthy diet is required for every child under the age of six. According to some of the greatest pediatricians, a child’s eating habit complements his or her own immune system. Follow these steps to give your child a strong immunity at a young age.

  1. A balanced diet: Fresh fruits and vegetables play a vital role in developing the immunity system of a child. From a very young age, children must be given a sufficient amount of fruits and vegetables for a healthy life later. Some fruits and vegetables have carotenoids which are immunity-boosting phytonutrients. These phytonutrients help in producing white blood cells in the body and create a strong anti-body which helps to prevent all the germs and viruses affect the child’s body. These nutrients will also help from chronic diseases like cancers, heart attacks, and so on. All children must be given green vegetables and fruits at least 3-5 a day.
  1. A good amount of sleep: A proper sleeping time is very important for a child’s health and to build up immunity. Insufficient sleep can make a child more prone to diseases and certain illnesses. This results in reducing germ-killing cells that fight against the viruses. Doctors have recommended that infants need at least 16 hours of sleep, toddlers require 11 to 14 hours of sleep, and preschool children need 10 to 13 hours. Children in day boarding mostly face the problem of sleep deprivation because they cannot take mid day naps. For these children, they must go to bed earlier to compensate for the amount of sleep.
  1. Maintaining body fitness: Exercise must be a part and parcel of your child’s life. It is extremely beneficial for the immune system and also the proper growth of the body. Daily exercising increases the natural killer cells of their body and thus keep the children away from diseases. The parents should get the child in the habit of exercising every day for a fit future. The exercises must include both cardio and the core. This will keep the heart and the lungs fit also will increase the flexibility of the body. Certain sports like basketball, badminton, swimming help a lot.
